Accessibility at union events and activities

Members can request accessibility supports for any union activity including meetings, conventions, trainings and communications. Supports may include ASL interpretation, captioning, accessible venues, large print materials or screen reader-compatible documents.

To make a request, contact your local steward or area office as early as possible before the event. The more notice you give, the easier it is to arrange the right supports.

The Workers with Disabilities Committee advocates for accessibility and inclusion within the union and in workplaces across B.C. Contact your area office to find out how to get involved.

If you encounter accessibility barriers on the BCGEU website, at union events or in union communications, please let us know so we can improve accessibility for all members.
